If you are looking for a slice of vibrant London a stone's throw from the city's top destinations then this is the place for you. Mayfair is an exclusive area of West London, located in the City of Westminster bordered by Hyde Park to the west, Oxford Street to the north, Pall Mall and Green Park to the south and Regent Street to the east. The smart neighbourhood, which attracts hundreds of tourists daily contains some of London's most exclusive luxury hotels, restaurants, shops, members' clubs and private residences. From its commercial plazas (think Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, and Piccadilly Circus) to its side streets and back alleys, this area of London whirs with unyielding energy. Theatres, shops, pubs, clubs, landmarks, and lounges—no matter how many times you visit, you’ll never see the same neighbourhood twice. Spend the morning strolling down Oxford Street and shop till you drop before wandering over to Soho - the epicentre of London! A typical day in Soho begins with brunch at the Dean Street Town House followed by a spot of shopping on Regent's Street. Walk all the way up to Oxford Circus and on the way pop into Liberty, the iconic British department store. Have lunch at one of the numerous restaurants in Carnaby Street (I recommend Dishoom or Nopi). Enjoy afternoon tea at The Wolseley by Green Park then come back home for a nap and refresh yourself for an evening out. Catch one of the most popular musicals in the world - Les Miserables or Phantom of the Opera and have dinner in a restaurant at Wardour Street. Cap the night with a dessert at Princi's. You will be spoilt for choice here!
Step out the front door into one of the best and most centrally located areas in London. You are a 4 minute walk away from Oxford Circus tube station, 7 minutes from Bond Street and 10 minutes from Piccadilly Circus tube station. There are also plenty of buses in the area, which are a great way of travelling if you like to have a peek at your surroundings as you travel. When coming from Heathrow you can take the piccadilly line all the way to Piccadilly Circus and then take a short taxi ride up Regents Street to the flat. A great local tip is to download the Citymapper app. This free app will plan your journey for you efficiently and quickly. It gives you a variety of different transport options such as bike, rail, tube and Uber taxi. It will also take you step by step through your journey as you travel and notify you when you are nearing your destination.
